Tulsa, OK July 12, 2010 – AAON (NASDAQ-AAON) was recognized for excellence in product design in the 6th annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News magazine. An independent panel of 30 contractors acted as judges in the contest that had 114 entries from different industry brands. The company’s RQ Series, 2-6 ton rooftop unit, was a Bronze Award Winner in the HVAC Residential Equipment category. The ACHR News is the leading trade magazine in the heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration industries.

One of six new Baltimore Aircoil PT series Cooling Tower cells catches a lift to the top of One Commerce Square via a Sikorsky helicopter as the management group that owns the building began a $1.3 million dollar replacement of the original units, BAC model VLT 1200's that were sold back in February of 1970. Memphis police cordoned off the surrounding Downtown streets for the half hour it took to lift the first three tower cells more than 400 feet to the top of one of Memphis' tallest buildings.
